ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems) is an softwareproduct for mechanical system simulation. Employing a graphical userinterface and libraries of components, joints, and forces, ADAMS enablesdesigners and engineers to model mechanical systems undergoing large-displacement motion and to simulate kinematic, static, dynamic, andinverse dynamic behaviors. ADAMS automatically outputs all displacements,velocities, accelerations, and reaction forces. Results are used toevaluate mechanical system performance, range of motion, collisiondetection, space claims, peak loads, and to calculate FEA load inputs.ADAMS outputs are displayed as x,y plots, shaded or wireframe animations,still-frame graphics, and tabular data.
